By browsing, creating an account, or making a purchase on our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website.

1. Account Creation and Security

  • To place an order, you may be required to create an account or provide accurate, current, and complete contact information (including a valid Pakistani mobile number and delivery address).

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or engage in fraudulent activities.

2. Product Information and Pricing

  • Accuracy: We make every effort to display the titles, authors, descriptions, cover art, and prices of our books as accurately as possible. However, slight variations in cover design or publisher editions may occur.
  • Pricing Currency: All prices listed on the Platform are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and are inclusive of applicable local taxes unless stated otherwise. Shipping fees will be calculated and added at checkout.
  • Pricing Errors: In the event that a book is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical or system error, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed for that item, even if the order has been confirmed.

3. Order Acceptance and Availability

  • Stock Availability: All books displayed on our website are subject to availability. An order confirmation email or SMS does not guarantee stock availability.
  • Order Cancellation: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion due to stock limitations, errors in product/pricing information, or suspected fraudulent activity. If your order is canceled after payment has been processed, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

4. Shipping, Delivery, and Cash on Delivery (COD)

  • Delivery Timeline: We partner with third-party courier services across Pakistan. Standard delivery timelines are generally 2–5 business days for major cities (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad) and 5–7 business days for other regions. These timelines are estimates and subject to courier delays.

  • Shipping Charges: Shipping fees are displayed during the checkout process. We reserve the right to modify shipping rates or offer free shipping promotions based on order thresholds.

  • Cash on Delivery (COD): For COD orders, buyers are required to pay the exact invoice amount to the courier agent upon delivery before opening the package. Refusing packages at the doorstep without a valid reason may result in permanent suspension of your COD privileges on our Platform.

5. Return, Refund, and Exchange Policy

  • Damaged or Incorrect Items: If you receive a book that is physically damaged, misprinted, or different from what you ordered, you must notify us via our customer support channels (or WhatsApp) within 48 hours of delivery with photographic proof.

  • Conditions for Return: Books must be returned in their original packaging, unopened, and unused.

  • Refund Processing: Approved refunds for prepaid orders (via credit/debit card, EasyPaisa, JazzCash) will be processed back to the original payment source within 7–10 working days. For COD returns, refunds will be issued via bank transfer or digital wallet.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All content included on this Platform—such as website design, text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and digital downloads—is the property of Bookshop.com.pk or its content suppliers and is protected by Pakistani and international copyright laws.

  • You may not scrape, copy, modify, or distribute any part of this website for commercial use without explicit written permission from us.

7. User Conduct and Reviews

  • Users may post reviews and comments on book pages, provided the content is not illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or invasive of privacy.

  • We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit any user-generated content that violates these guidelines.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Bookshop.com.pk provides this Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the continuous, error-free operation of the website.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or the purchase of any products through it.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms and your use of the Platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any legal disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.

10. Modifications to the Terms

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the newest version. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
